Every season, I donate a portion of my sales to a new cause. This fall, I chose to donate to the Lions Clubs International's Vision Program.
Specifically, I want to support children in my community who need eye care. This is a significant cause for two reasons; first, school is just starting so vision screening is in full swing. Second, it's no secret that I am an artist. I want everyone to be able to enjoy arts and crafts to their full potential. Vision is important for the enjoyment and the making of arts and crafts.
I remember getting my first pair of glasses in first grade. I couldn't believe I had been going through life any other way! My grades improved, too, to my parent's delight. I even got my year old daughter screened last week. She has perfect vision, for now!
